This year’s Mandela Day was nothing short of incredible! The Lehae community came together in the true spirit of Ubuntu to celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela — a legacy of service, compassion, and unity.
The highlight of the day was a generous donation of a giant cake from Boxer Superstore Lenasia, which brought smiles and sweetness to everyone who attended. We are sincerely grateful for their kind gesture and community support.
This memorable day was made possible through the powerful collaboration between the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation, Lehae Youth Club, and the inspiring EMASESI PRE SCHOOL ACADEMY. Together, we turned 3190 Springbok Street into a hub of joy, reflection, and celebration.
From laughter-filled activities to heartfelt conversations, this Mandela Day reminded us that small acts of kindness — when done together — create powerful ripples of hope.
