Standing Together for Mozambique: A Call to Support Women and Children Affected by Floods

Natural disasters leave more than physical destruction in their wake—they disrupt lives, displace families, and place the most vulnerable at even greater risk. Today, communities across Mozambique are facing the devastating impact of severe flooding, with women and children bearing the brunt of the crisis.

At Power of Women and Children (PWC), we believe in the strength of unity and compassion. In times like these, every act of kindness matters—and together, we can make a meaningful difference.

The Urgent Need

Flooding has left thousands without shelter, food, or basic necessities. Families have been forced to flee their homes, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Children are especially vulnerable, facing not only hunger and displacement but also increased risks to their health and safety.

Women, often the primary caregivers, are left struggling to provide for their families under incredibly difficult circumstances.

How You Can Help

We are appealing to individuals, businesses, and communities to come together and support those affected. Your contribution—no matter how small—can help restore dignity, comfort, and hope.

We are currently collecting:

• Clothing for all ages (infants, children, and adults)
• Non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, maize meal, pasta, long-life milk, etc.)

These essential items will be distributed directly to affected communities in Mozambique.
