A Gift of Hope: Meals on Wheels Donates 500kg of Maize Meal to Support Vulnerable Children

In a heartwarming act of compassion and community support, Meals on Wheels Community Services South Africa donated 500 kilograms of White Star maize meal on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, to assist vulnerable children and families supported by Power of Women and Children NPC.

This generous donation will help provide nutritious meals to children living at Ithemba Labantwana Children’s Home, as well as 550 children attending 10 selected crèches and Early Childhood Development Centres in Lehae Township. In addition, 30 Orphans and Vulnerable Children within the surrounding community will also benefit from this much-needed support.

Fighting Hunger, One Meal at a Time
