Report on Child Protection Month Celebration at Emasesi Pre-School Academy, Lehae

Introduction

On behalf of the Power of Women and Children NPC, I had the honour of attending and representing the organisation at the Child Protection Month celebration held yesterday at Emasesi Pre-School Academy in Lehae. The event formed part of the national observance dedicated to raising awareness about the protection, safety, and well-being of children.

Purpose of the Visit

The purpose of my attendance was to support the school’s initiative in promoting child safety awareness and to reinforce the shared commitment between community stakeholders and civil society organisations in safeguarding children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Event Proceedings

The celebration was well-organised and attended by learners, educators, parents, and community members. The programme included educational talks, interactive sessions, songs, and presentations tailored to young learners, all centered on child protection themes.
