Adventist AIDS International Ministry donated groceries to Ithemba Labantwana Orphanage in Tshepisong

Being inspired by these words from the Bible, concerning the Prophet Elijah and the widow at Zarephath.

When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink? As she was going to get it, he called, and bring me, please, a piece of bread.”

“As surely as your Lord your God lives” she replied, “I don’t have any bread, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.”

These where really challenging times, like the one we are facing now due to this COVID-19 Pandemic. South Africa, in only a month to come, will be reaching a full year under the lockdown, leaving a lot of people jobless, raising up poverty and inequality, as they were a big challenges, the Country was facing before even the Coronavirus Pandemic. In all this, we must always remember that there is HOPE.

Paulo Coelho once said: “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us become better too.”

Those are some imagesof our Ministry, on the 10th of February 2021, where we had the opportunity of buying groceries @ Sunshine Cash and Carry/Westgate, allocated to the Ithemba Labantwana Orphanage Home in Tshepisong township and to some families Infected and affected with HIV/AIDS in the area.

Our Heartfelt and thank you, is once again going to Dr. and Mrs. Ilaguno of the ADVENTIST AIDS INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY, Mary Frost of MISSISSIPPI ( USA), Elaine Putvin of MICHIGAN ( USA), for their CASH DONATION in making this day successful and blessed one by being a blessing.

Let me end this short report, with these inspiring words of Richard J. Foster which say: “If we truly love people, we will desire for them, for more than it is within our power to give them, and this will lead us to prayer. Intercession is a way of loving others.”
